Paid Research Study: AI-Assisted English Learning
The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Psycholinguistics lab is conducting a research study on how AI tools help English learners acquire verb tense markers.
Who can participate? Adults (18+) who are learning English as a second language
What’s involved? 5 short AI-assisted learning sessions (30-60 minutes each)
Compensation: $10 per session, up to $50 total

Online Language Processing in Bilingual Speakers
The Psycholinguistics Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is currently conducting a study looking into how people who know one language versus multiple languages use linguistic information. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at UW-Madison.
The following is a description of the study:
(1) We are looking for native speakers of Spanish who are proficient in English.
(2) It will take place at the Psycholinguistics Lab (Helen C. White 7103).
(3) It will take about 30 minutes to complete.
(4) During the study, you will (i) first complete a short language background questionnaire and (ii) then make decisions on visual and auditory stimuli presented through a computer.
(5) You will be compensated $10.00 for your time.
(6) Participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time.

Expressives in a first or second language
The Psycholinguistics Lab in the Department of English is currently conducting a study looking to find judgments for phrases in Spanish and English in Spanish-English bilinguals. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The following is a description of the study:
- Native speakers of Spanish who are proficient in English are requested to participate in this study.
- It will take place online.
- It will take about 30 minutes to complete.
- During the study, you will be given a set of Spanish or English phrases to respond to.
- Participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time.
