My name is Nesrin Hefnawy and my current research explores how technology, especially Natural Language Processing (NLP), can be integrated into language learning to enhance literacy skills and second language acquisition while meeting educational goals. I am investigating whether effective teaching strategies from traditional classrooms can be incorporated into language models to support student learning and how game mechanics can be applied in these environments.
During my time at the ELL Psycholinguistics Lab, I became interested in exploring the potential of the eye-tracking machine and its applications in the field of bilingualism research, as it offers highly promising possibilities for advancing our understanding of bilingual language processing.
